Chia seeds are loaded with nutrient value! They’re high in antioxidants, fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. Plus, chia seeds are low in calories and carbs so even though this ‘pudding’ tastes like a fancy tea latte, it’s not going to knock you off your goals. The No Yolking™ – 100 % Egg White Protein Powder adds that extra boost to keep you feeling fuller, longer and your blood sugar levels balanced, which helps to prevent the dreaded sugar crash.

2 chai tea bags
2 1/2 cups (625 mL) unsweetened non-dairy milk, such as almond, soy or oat milk
3 tbsp (45 mL) Muskoka Mornings No Yolking™ – 100 % Egg White Protein Powder
2 tbsp (30 mL) honey
1 tsp (5 mL) pure vanilla extract
3/4 cup (175 mL) black chia seeds
Toppings (optional):
Coconut whipped cream
Ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 cup (250 mL) boiling water over tea bags. Cover and steep for 5 minutes. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible; discard tea bags.
  2. Meanwhile, whisk milk with egg white powder, honey and vanilla until smooth. Stir in chia seeds and tea. Cover tightly and chill in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours or up to 5 days. Top with any, or all, of the toppings, if desired.
