Protein balances blood sugar levels-great for diabetics!

“Egg is a handy high protein snack if you have diabetes. The protein will help keep you full without affecting your blood sugar. Protein not only slows digestion, it also slows glucose absorption. This is very helpful if you have diabetes. Having lean protein at every meal and for the occasional snack is a smart step for anyone with diabetes.”

Prevention is also key.

When I was expecting my daughter, gestational diabetes was on the radar. Ice cream never tasted so good. Ok yes, I now have a great recipe alternative to ice cream but back then, not only did I have to watch my sugar intake for the sake of preventing my baby or myself from a future of type II diabetes my calm steady hand needed for treating my clients for electrolysis was being affected. I felt like I was going to pass out. I now got jitters if I was late having a meal. More than ever I saw the effects of everything I ate. Regular intervals of food with an array of nutrients along with protein was essential to function well and grow a healthy baby.

“If you have diabetes, you should limit whole egg consumption to three a week. If you only eat egg whites, you can feel comfortable eating more.” According to James Roland, who wrote a medically reviewed article for Healthline titled “Can You Eat Eggs if You Have Diabetes?” Therefore, while egg whites are good for everybody, for those with diabetes or who are at risk for heart disease, egg whites can be an excellent dietary option.

What to eat with your eggs.

We recommend plenty of vegetables not other fried fatty meats. Try zucchini or eggplant “bacon” it goes great on our Vegetarian Brocolli Protein Salad. It’s truly a meal in itself. Make a huge batch and keep it in the fridge for when you want a crunchy sweet bowl of yummy goodness. I just had a bowl for breakfast as I wrote this page.

Tired? Irritable? Need more Energy?

You may have adrenal fatigue that could affect ADD/ADHD and your thyroid could be out-of-whack too!

When stress or stimulants like caffeine or an immunological response to hidden food allergies trigger the Adrenals to produce Adrenaline and Cortisol, we (should) get hyper focused with the “fight of flight” mechanisms geared up and ready to go. The problem is we keep putting ourselves in this state that generally does not require the body and mind on full alert and the Adrenals then have to work hard again to calm the system down.

Why do we need protein?

Our bodies use protein as building blocks. Our organs, muscles, skin, hair and nails require the right combination of amino acids, 20 in all to be at our healthiest state. The No Yolking™ egg white powder provides a stream of essential, and non-essential, amino acids, which promote general health and well-being in a variety of different ways

Many hormones are in themselves proteins and our blood, immune and digestive systems all rely on proteins to work correctly.

To develop, grow and maintain good health with the best functioning body we can have makes protein a vital part of our diet.
