Celebrate good health with this chilled, refreshing, and nourishing drink —  perfect to sip while sitting on the dock or at your desk! This Iced Matcha Latte recipe is made with non-dairy milk, Matcha green tea powder, sweetener of your choice and a couple of scoops of No Yolking™ 100 % Egg White Protein Powder. The natural protein powder gives this latte a creamy, velvety texture, without the dairy. Plus, the extra protein will keep you fuelled and help keep you feeling fuller, longer. 

Matcha is so good for you: it boasts 137 times more antioxidants than regular green tea, boosts your metabolism and burns calories while lowering cholesterol and blood sugar level, and has a calming and relaxing effect on the body and mind.

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/3 cups (325 mL) unsweetened vanilla almond milk (room temperature)
2 tsp (10 mL) good-quality green tea matcha powder
2 tbsp (30 mL) No Yolking™ 100 % Egg White Protein Powder
2 tsp (10 mL) stevia (approx.)
Ice cubes

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine protein powder, matcha powder and sweetener with ½ cup (125 mL) non-dairy milk. Use a frothing wand or matcha whisk to combine ingredients until smooth. 
  2. Pour matcha mixture into a tall glass; add ice. Top with remaining milk, stir and serve.  

 

Tip: Enjoy this Iced Matcha Latte or any of our protein lattes for breakfast to feel fueled and satisfied all morning long. It’s also a great option for an afternoon pick-me-up!
