Tips and tricks to help you stay hydrated and get protein into every sip thanks to No Yolking™ 100% Egg White Protein Powder

For many of us, summers are full of fun activities for the whole family. But it’s crucial to stay hydrated in order to avoid burnout, heat stroke, dehydration, and more. In fact, this is something to remember all year long! Our bodies depend on water to survive. Every cell, tissue, and organ in our body needs water to work properly, remove waste, lubricate our joints, and maintain proper body temperature. While plain water is the best way to stay hydrated, we are here to help you incorporate some fun drinks to keep you cool this summer while also ensuring you get your protein in with a scoop or two of No Yolking™ 100% Egg White Protein Powder!

Cooling Protein Sippers:

Adding protein into your summer drinks is a great way to fuel yourself while also staying hydrated. A very popular recipe throughout the summer is our No Yolking™ Protein Iced Latte. This is an excellent way to start the morning and ensure you are energized all day long! I love to start my Saturday morning fueling up with this latte before heading out to the golf course for the day. Our recipe couldn’t be simpler: it only needs a couple of ingredients and just takes five minutes to make! Plus, it makes enough for two coffees, is sugar-free and is packed with 17 grams of protein thanks to No Yolking™ 100% Egg White Protein Powder!

Have you tried one of our delicious smoothie recipes? They’re a delicious way to cool down! I have been loving our Feel Good Super Smoothie lately. Every ingredient in this smoothie is designed to give your body something it needs to feel good: berries, oats and spinach are filled with fibre and antioxidants, turmeric and cinnamon help reduce inflammation, and chia seeds are high in omega-3 fatty acids. On top of this, our No Yolking™ 100% Egg White Protein Powder offers a clean, low-calorie protein that is essential for muscle building while keeping you feeling fuller, longer. This smoothie is great as an afternoon cool-down, while keeping you full between lunch and dinner. It’s also a great “treat” for all of you moms to take on the go to the next activity. Our recipe makes enough for two servings, one for you and one for your kiddo.

Finally, if you’re looking for a non-alcoholic cocktail option that still feels special enough for a weekend soiree, try our No Yolking™ Cranberry Mocktail. This is a great mocktail to share with your girls and wind down on a Friday night after a busy week. The cranberry juice is high in vitamin C and also contains salicylic acid which helps keep the skin clear and urinary tract infections at bay. We recommend that you couple this with Wild Muskoka Rock Barren Bitters which can aid in digestion, reduce digestive discomfort, and actually improve the daily function of the digestive system! These bitters also help to feed the micro-bacteria that become healthy intestinal flora. Pairing this with our No Yolking™ 100% Egg White Protein Powder also helps maintain blood sugar levels. All of these ingredients mixed together creates the best liver cleansing and refreshing mocktail out there!

Stay-Cool Activities:

Pack a Picnic: Packing a picnic full of protein-full snacks and heading to one of our many lakes and beaches in Muskoka for a swim is a great way to spend a summer day. Or embrace a nice shady area in one of our many local Muskoka parks.

Stay Active: Try out kayaking, canoeing, or paddle-boarding for a fun activity on the water. This is a great way to get in some activity while being able to stop off and jump in the water when you need to cool down. Another fun activity for the kids is simply setting up a sprinkler for them to run through and rewarding them with a big scoop of our protein-packed smoothies!
